Scope of Position

Responsible for assessing, evaluating and managing ongoing training and skill development methods for both the hourly and salaried populations of the plant. Works proactively with plant leadership to understand new training needs to accomplish plant objectives, measures and compliance. Enables individual opportunities through training and development.

  • Will have responsibilities for overall training compliance within the plant.

  • This position reports directly to the Human Resource Manager.

  • Manage and deliver ongoing training and skills development to include tracking and record keeping.

  • Administration and upkeep of the training program so that the operations workforce is prepared to perform the various tasks safely and effectively on the production floor.

  • Onboard hourly employees to effectively integrate into the plant.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of plant processes and tasks to build training plans that best equip the manufacturing workforce.

  • Optimize through redesign or refresh existing training materials and procedures to improve retention, safety behaviors, and application. Leverage new methods, and industry best practices.

  • Development, optimization and upkeep of plant training plan and compliance for all layers of training (safety, quality, orientation, etc.).

  • Maintains all plant training records within the LMS. Organize and maintain electronic documents and paper files according to records retention. Follow up on pending matters.

  • Utilize standard office equipment and software products to research, gather, and compile data from multiple sources. Analyze data and make recommendations to appropriate leadership.

  • Develop and deliver training presentations on various topics to groups of colleagues during meetings. Coordinates development of materials for meetings and makes suggestions for the meeting structure.

  • Serve as the Global Training Coordinator for the plant. Track completion of online activities or classroom training through True Blue Learning. Develop spreadsheets using advanced features of applicable software to facilitate training tracking.

  • Primary responsibility for the development and upkeep of systems for Operator certifications, training, and skill checks. Ensures 100% training compliance metrics are met for all employees.

  • Pursue opportunities to improve training content and approach in all operational areas with input from area owners. In addition to duties listed above, responsibilities may include other administrative tasks.

  • Builds effective relationships with employees that will maximize an employee’s likeliness to be successful; accomplished through strong manufacturing floor presence and ongoing engagement with front line supervisors.

  • Drive compliance for all training requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree, preference for Business, Education or HR Management

  • 2-4 years in training, development, or compliance

  • Work with people at all levels of the organization. Strong people skills and ability to work with confidential information.

  • Proficiency in the use of database systems and advanced Excel applications

  • Ability to develop strategies & vision to compliment plant goals and objectives to achieve business needs through people.

  • Effectively lead meetings and/or teams. Deliver formal training programs and presentations to groups of employees.

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in all work environments, manufacturing and/or office.

The range for this position is $66,478.00 - $91,407.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
