Bassett Healthcare Administrative Supervisor Nursing - Inpatient Nursing Admin in Oneonta, New York

What you'll do The Nursing Supervisor will work Full Time, Nights and establishes and maintains leadership presence to provide administrative support to all staff. The Nursing Supervisor provides consistent on-site administrative coverage for the hospital and is responsible for coordinating the operations of the hospital on his/her assigned shift. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating patient placement consistent with care needs and resources, staffing reallocations and patient flow, accepting all patients meeting our capacity criteria. The Nursing Supervisor assists with direct and indirect care as needed. Functions as a consultant and educator for all inpatient staff including Nursing, ED, Bed Management, Laboratory, Radiology and Pharmacy. The Nursing Supervisor supervises the shift Staffing Assistant, providing direction as needed.The Nursing Supervisor functions as the on-site administrator, addressing patient and staff complaints, media inquires and emergency preparedness. What we need from you Education: Associate degree in nursing required. BSN degree or completion within one year from date of hire may be considered. Master’s degree in healthcare related field with an additional 2 years of below experience may be considered. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in nursing beginning at the staff nurse level with assumption of positions of increasing responsibility. Licenses/Certifications: NYS Licensure as a Registered Nurse. Skills: Accountability Adaptability Advocacy Attention to Detail Career Development Clinical Skills Decision Making Goal Setting Leadership Physical Requirements: Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping. Constant typing/clerical/dexterity, grasping, hearing, repetitive motion, seeing/monitor/computer use, standing, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception), walking. Fit test. Hazards: Bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure and radiation/radiant energy . Working conditions: Occasional noise. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus up to: USD $35,000.00 Pay Transparency Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. Pay Range Minimum: USD $43.93/Hr. Pay Range Maximum: USD $65.89/Hr.
