Mille Lacs Health System CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant/Registered - Acute Care Hospital - (.6 FTE) in Onamia, Minnesota

The CNA/ Nursing Assistant/Registered is responsible for assisting the professional nurse in the delivery of patient care. Under the direction of the professional nursing staff, the NAR provides personal care for assigned patients and is an integral part of the care planning, assessment, and record-keeping systems.

Available Positions:

One .6 FTE ( 48 hours per pay period) 8-hour Evening shift, every other weekend & holiday.

One .6 FTE ( 48 hours per pay period) 8-hour rotating Day/Evening shifts, every other weekend & holiday.

  • Assists with the needs and comfort of patients including hygiene, nutrition, activity, and treatments in accordance with the policies and procedures of Mille Lacs Health System.*

  • Observes patients and communicates changes and/or needs to the Team Leader.

  • Documents patient cares in the Electronic Medical Record. Cares include, but not limited to; vital signs, intake/output, meals and activities of daily living.*

  • Maintains a safe, clean environment for patients and staff by following infection control and safety policies and procedures.*

  • Supports and upholds the Patient's Bill of Rights.*

  • Performs all duties as assigned.*

  • Always uses appropriate lifting techniques when lifting/moving patients/equipment.*

  • Cleans equipment, spills, etc. as necessary.*

  • Keeps patient rooms neat, clean and orderly without prompting. Keeps kitchenette neat, clean and stocked without prompting. Keeps hallways clear of food carts, equipment, etc.*

    Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Registration with the MN Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant.

  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to the resident population serviced in the Med/Surg unit.

  • Must demonstrate complete criminal background check as required by the State of MN and drug screening per MLHS policy.
