Aerotek General Production Worker in Onalaska, Wisconsin

Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Candidates will stand along a conveyor belt pulling slabs of wood, which were previously inspected for a wood grade. Candidates will stack the slabs of wood in accordance with their grade and the grade match on a material handling cart. Must be willing to lift, turn, and place between 20-30 pounds consistently.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Onalaska, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Shift - 6am - 2:30pm (overtime may extend to 3:30pm if offered). Rarely work weekends, with the possibility of up to 4 weekends per year. Work environment changes with the seasons: hot in the summer and cold in the winter (heated in winter). Fans and industrial HVAC systems are consistently running to move air and sawdust. Very dusty, smelly (like wood), hot, and humid. Team of 40 employees on two different production machines. 1st shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (during busy season from May - September, may run until 3:30 PM). Dress code: Jeans and t-shirt. Steel toes are required, but all other PPE is provided, including glasses, ear protection, and gloves.
