Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Food Operations Manager at Nebraska Medical Center located in Omaha, NE. The Food Operations Manager will manage and direct food locations (Starbucks, Restaurant, Cafés, Convenient Store, and Micro-Market) throughout the hospital. The Food Operations Manager will be a dynamic team player with a strong background in directing front of house food operations and teams.

This strategic management position offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package that kicks in immediately. At Nebraska Medicine, this position will also receive perks such as free parking , daily meal stipend , and free gym access. Schedule is primarily Monday-Friday with no evenings.

The successful candidate will:

• direct and oversee all retail food operations for the hospital (Starbucks, Restaurant, Cafés, Convenient Store, and Micro-Market)

• manage, develop and engage with subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline employees

• interact with customers, hospital staff, and visitors to ensure customer satisfaction

• oversee cash handing processes and POS programming and maintenance

• maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place

• achieve company and client financial targets and goals

We are looking for candidates who have:

• experience as a front of house or food operations manager (retail food outlets, restaurants, hotels, catering etc.)

• demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to foster culture, retain employees, and develop teams

• financial acumen and technical skills

• a results-driven mindset that enjoys working hands-on to support the team

• a valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
