A 64-bed adult psychiatric facility Lasting Hope Recovery Center is a place of healing. All of the rooms are private. At Lasting Hope Recovery Center patients find comfort and a team of caring professionals working for them. Often mental illness and substance abuse occur at the same time. CHI Health Lasting Hope Recovery Center offers an entire range of treatment and prevention services to meet the needs of patients experiencing both challenges. Treatment is built on personal strengths and support systems that treat individuals experiencing these illnesses.

Responsibilities
CHI Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, includes 150+ clinics delivering quality care to patients across Nebraska and southeast Iowa. Our full-service network provides a variety of Primary Care & Priority Care Services, including Family, Internal, Geriatric, and Pediatric Medicine, in addition to several specialties to deliver custom care based on the unique needs of our patients.
Assesses patients upon admission according to specific program policies and procedures.
Formulates and implements Therapeutic Recreation Treatment programs according to individual patient needs as determined by evaluations and assessments. Develops treatment plans to include goals, objectives and methods to achieve the same within time frame designated and methods to achieve the same within time frame designated in the unit specific Policies and Procedures manual.
Administers quality treatment modalities for both individuals and groups.
Communicates verbally or in written form to treatment teams regarding patient’s assessment, progress, or evaluations.
Fosters an open climate so that effective communications between Therapeutic Recreation staff and other departments can take place.
Assumes the individual responsibility for personal and professional growth.
Attends mandatory Behavioral Health Services and hospital educational programs each year.
Attends and actively participates in departmental and unit staff meetings as appropriate.
Participates in ordering supplies needed for activities.
Assists the Operations Director / Program Manager / Coordinator Recreational Therapy in recommending and developing new interventions, ideas, or programs.
Qualifications
Preferred: Certified in Music therapy.
Required:
Educational equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy or related field.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Pay Range
$23.98 - $34.78 /hour
