Aerotek Low Voltage Electrician in Omaha, Nebraska

Job Title: Low Voltage Electrician

Job Description

Regular duties will include the installation and testing of a variety of equipment being deployed at client sites. This equipment consists of audio/video systems and paging systems. If you have experience in cable racking/data closets, you will be utilized in that area as well. All of this gear requires data cabling work, so cable pulling, testing, and termination of category cables will be a part of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Pulling cables through floors, walls, and ductwork

  • Dressing, labeling, and terminating cables, including CAT5, CAT6, fiber, coax, AV wire, fire alarm, and security and access control

  • Installing and terminating racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, MDF/IDF, workstation outlets, and firestopping

  • Testing electrical systems to ensure power is running correctly

  • Performing other general labor duties like cleaning up and moving material

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ year of cable pulling experience in low voltage

  • Experience with access control, CCTV, and building automation is a bonus

Work Environment

100% field work. Monday-Friday 7-4, with optional Saturdays. Occasional travel required, usually during summer school projects. Sites include schools, hospitals, small businesses, strip malls, entertainment venues, and auditoriums.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00
