The Knowledge Management Solutions (KMS) team is responsible for organizing, writing, and publishing LinkedIn’s Help Center content. Additionally, KMS develops instructional, procedural, and technical content distributed externally across channels and LinkedIn experiences such as chat, email, in-product, and search.

As a Content Strategist, you will be responsible for creating content for a set of complex products that align to the needs of a line of business. Creating timely content for feature releases, collaborating, and providing quality feedback to team members, interacting with partners to establish self as a peer and trusted partner within KMS team will be some of your primary responsibilities. The role is dependent on your ability to collaborate with partners and team members to gather the information required to develop relevant and complete content, for our help center audiences.
Taking care of our internal and external customers is our number one priority. You’ll be expected to maintain solid, trusted, collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners to successfully analyze and solve issues together. You will be working closely with POMs, Product, Marketing, and Senior to create and define a great content experience for our members.
Responsible for developing and delivering accurate and timely content for a line of business under guidance from senior/manager.
Develop high-quality content per the quality program based on data insights and inputs from stakeholders
Create and present project plans to business partners that are clear, concise, and establish agreement among business partners to see through the plan.
Create and drive a data driven content strategy for the line of business with moderate supervision from senior.
Build subject matter expertise for a designated area of work.
Master the LinkedIn Voice and Tone and the Help Style Guide.
Participate in the peer to peer review process to improve the quality of content and provide open, honest, and constructive feedback.
Collaborate, build relationships, and share knowledge with global team members and partners as needed.
Model LinkedIn’s culture and values and actively participate in developing a healthy team culture.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of industry and technical writing experience
Experience in DITA or other topic-based authoring methodology
Experience in data-driven analysis and capacity planning for content work
Experience with Document Development Lifecycle
Knowledge of Information Mapping or other similar methodologies
Team player who can develop strong relationships and promote a healthy team culture
Passionate about learning, having a positive attitude and growth mindset
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to perform audience and task analysis and map content to customer support journey
Proficiency in using authoring tools such as XMetal, Oxygen, MS Word
Proficiency in SharePoint, Content Management Systems, CRMs
Ability to work through ambiguity and manage competing priorities
Experience defining, tracking, and reporting on content KPIs
