U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Administrative Officer in Omaha, Nebraska

Summary About the Position: The office is located in downtown Omaha, NE, near the Missouri River and the city's wide array of parks, museums, historic sites, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Responsibilities Assists the Division Administrative Officer in the development and maintenance of staffing plans and goals, and with input to measurement charts, resource management spreadsheets, data collection, and other management tools. Drafts or assists administrative staff members in the development of policies and procedures related to administrative procedures. Composes and prepares a variety of correspondence, reports, records, briefing materials, and statistical and narrative material required to support the organizational mission. Uses database or spreadsheet applications to enter, revise, sort and retrieve data for reports; and uses graphic software to provide charts and graphs. Ensures all required documentation and information is included before routing actions. Prepares memoranda, prints certificates, arranges for framing, and presentation of awards. Experience in providing administrative support to include preparing reports, interpreting regulations/directives/policies, and composing correspondence; AND 2.) Experience monitoring a budget for an office. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Financial Management Information Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
