DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Account Management Specialist to join our team specializing in Sales in Omaha, NE.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhancing Customer Relationships: By supporting the account team in developing and maintaining positive customer relationships, you’ll help build trust and loyalty.

  • Facilitating Customer Interactions: Assisting in the organization of customer visits and negotiations ensures smooth and productive interactions, leading to better customer satisfaction.

  • Identifying Customer Needs: Your support in identifying customer needs will help tailor solutions that meet their specific requirements, enhancing their overall experience.

  • Curating Valuable Information: By organizing data and information, you’ll enable customers to evaluate Cummins’ benefits effectively, aiding their decision-making process.

  • Supporting Contract Negotiations: Providing information to the account team during contract negotiations will help secure favorable terms and successful implementations.

  • Coordinating Communication: Ensuring clear and consistent communication across sales roles and with internal stakeholders will streamline processes and improve efficiency.

  • Driving Revenue Growth: By identifying new business opportunities and participating in cost reduction initiatives, you’ll contribute to the company’s revenue growth and financial health.

  • Championing Customer Voice: Acting as a champion for the voice of the customer within the business will ensure that customer feedback is heard and addressed, leading to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Articulate Value Proposition: Understand and interpret customer needs, and effectively explain and demonstrate how your products, solutions, and services meet those needs better than the competition.

  • Maintain Channel Awareness: Understand and explain the industry structure, dynamics, and market pathways to advance organizational goals.

  • Develop Pricing Strategy: Align and build consensus with key stakeholders to develop pricing strategies that achieve business targets.

  • Plan Accounts Strategically: Identify objectives and track progress to drive the execution of business and account strategies.

  • Adapt to Your Audience: Explain complex topics in a way that your target audience can understand, retain, and use the information.

  • Integrate Customer Perspective: Incorporate the customer’s viewpoint into your sales content to better meet their needs and increase revenue.

  • Forecast Sales Accurately: Collect and assess customer data to create accurate forecasts of future consumption patterns.

  • Manage Sales Pipeline: Plan proactively for successful execution of sales strategies, evaluate pipeline health, and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Make Sense of Complex Information: Develop an intimate understanding of customer needs and synthesize complex information to deliver tailored solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in marketing, sales or a related subject or an acceptable combination of education and experience required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Basic relevant work experience required. Customer-facing experience preferred.

Additional Information:

  • This role is on an 70/30 sales compensation plan.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
