6G Pipe Welder/Fitter

Year-round Local Work - No Travel Required - Day Shift – 4 Day Work Week

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced 6G Pipe Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will must have previous experience in pipe welding and fitting pipes using the 6G position, with a focus on quality and safety. You will be responsible for welding (SMAW & GTAW) and fitting metal pipes for various industrial applications, ensuring that all work meets the specified standards and codes. This is a year-round position with a co-op in the Omaha area. This is a full-time position with a company that offers a 4-day work week.

Salary : $37.78/Hour

Hours : Monday thru Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities :

  • Perform 6G welding on pipes using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, or other welding processes.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.

  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.

  • Fit and assemble metal components using welding, bolting, or other methods.

  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a 6G Pipe Welder/Fitter.

  • Certification in 6G welding (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and safety procedures.

  • Ability to work in various positions and environments, including confined spaces.

  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
