Senior Director, AP Program Access College Board - AP&I Location: This is a fully remote role (mostly east coast hours, with flexibility). Candidates who live near CB offices have the option of being fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office). Type:This is a full-time position About the Team The AP Program Access team focuses on expanding the benefits of AP to all high school students who enter 4-year and 2-year colleges, specifically to students who haven't received the foundation AP provides for college success. In this role, the Senior Director will develop and lead a range of high-value strategic initiatives that focus on maximizing the reach of the AP Program, specifically AP African American Studies. About the Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Director, Program Manager, AP African American Studies, you will develop evidence-based, actionable, and strategic approaches to meet AP African American Studies' top priorities, and with the project management needed to execute those approaches them successfully. Specifically, this leader will define and manage the implementation of the program by helping our field teams advise districts and schools on implementation, creating models for teams of AP African American Studies teachers in schools, and designing the curricular and instructional crosswalks necessary to implement the course in the field. Your work will advance the successful launch and adoption of the course in schools and districts across the nation. Your role will include monitoring and supporting teacher and school satisfaction, establishing understanding and acceptance of the course, and setting annual growth and volume metrics and supporting our field teams in achieving them.As the Senior Director, you will partner with cross-functional teams to grow the number of students accessing the African American Studies course and exam, with a particular emphasis on broadening access for all students. You'll thrive when handling multiple projects, and can adapt, respond quickly, and innovate. You possess an exceptional ability to write and apply knowledge of the course to local school and district contexts. In this role, you will: * Develop a deep familiarity with and knowledge of the relevant AP Course Framework and/or AP Course and Exam Description. * Design and execute on initiatives that address complex strategic issues related to expanding equitable student access at both the program and course level, with a particular focus on supporting teams of educators in providing a sufficient number of sections to serve students, based on existing AP potential. * Develop and implement a sales model for leveraging instructional expertise and resources that supports the teams responsible for school and district outreach. * Evaluate and transform school and state feasibility data and learnings into actionable strategic knowledge using superb analytical acumen, critical thinking, and communication skills. * Collaborate with the State and District Partnership team to define strategic growth opportunities through engagement with leading organizations (disciplinary or community-based) and K12 institutions. * Leverage instructional expertise and resources to support the teams responsible for school and district outreach. * Create crosswalks of the relevant state, district or higher education learning standards with the AP required content and skills. * Collaborate across the AP team to ensure these products and materials align to our curriculum, instruction, and assessments. * Collaborate across the AP team to ensure these products and materials align to our curriculum, instruction, and assessments. * Build operational systems across teams to track progress towards g To view the full job description,
