Guidehouse Security Architect in Olympia, Washington

What You Will Do :

  • Assess current architectures and configurations and recommend enhancements

  • Document the current and target architectures

  • Advise on roadmaps and implementation plans for enhancements

  • Work across multiple stakeholders to understand needs, concerns, and risks

  • Implement new or replace existing implementations for security services

  • Implement or modify capability to add a new source of data, and assist network and IT service organizations with design, documentation, and deployment planning for capability to monitor, assess, and report security events

  • Advise on key initiatives to include Zero Trust, Control Automation, Log Management, and SOAR

  • Contribute to or manage the development of a robust Risk Management Framework (RMF) package necessary to achieve and maintain a full, multi-year Authority to Operate (ATO) for multiple systems to include privacy documentation with minimal guidance.

  • Create, establish, document, and refine the security controls, policies, procedures, and artifacts necessary to ensure applicable security requirements are met.

  • Develop assessment plans and coordinate with other members of the Risk Management team to ensure that security objectives are met and improved.

  • Stay abreast of changes to NIST and FISMA guidance and incorporate these changes into the organizational RMF process.

What You Will Need :

  • Bachelor's Degree. You can substitute 4 years of additional exp for degree

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust

  • 2-12 Years of IT experience

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Experience working with and supporting one or more of the following

  • Security Event Information Management (SIEM) services

  • Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention (IDS/IPS) services

  • Data Loss Prevention

  • Data Management, workflow and task tracking

  • Memory Integrity/Analysis Systems

  • Endpoint Incident Response Systems

  • Packet Capture and Analytics Systems

  • other specialized security systems

  • Have familiarity and experience with Python to enable access to SOAP/REST Application Programming Interfaces (API) and ability to integrate disparate security systems and data feeds via APIs

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Federal government project experience

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) security models

  • Experience supporting US government cybersecurity programs

  • Cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, etc.)

  • Security operations engineering experience

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience supporting the Risk Management Framework and applicable guidance/requirements.

  • Experience with Cyber Security policies, FedRAMP and/or other US Government Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes and procedures

The annual salary range for this position is $66,700.00-$100,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
