What You’ll Be Doing:

Job Summary

The Market Development Director is responsible for working in their designated territory to help providers streamline the management of implantable medical devices and expand the company’s customer profile.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains sustainable relationships with Health care providers, Doctors and medical device representatives in territory.

  • Markets the company’s services to new provider prospects.

  • Works closely with Market Development Managers/Associates to ensure key accounts are implemented and managed with excellence.

  • Works in collaboration with the leadership team to implement business plans designed to achieve or exceed sales quota assigned to territory.

  • Attends and participates in sales meetings, training, conventions, and trade shows.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

  • Develops and sustains relationships with key account contacts to stay abreast of provider needs.

  • Demonstrates high level of professional qualities and disposition that commands attention and respect from all levels of management.

  • Participates in new MDM training/orientation as a mentor.

  • Participates as needed in training others within the organization.

  • Serves as backup leader for sales team when/where needed.

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Healthcare background and knowledge of sales concepts, and techniques required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of external Sales experience is required.

  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quota within assigned territory.

  • Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Able to work from remote office location and travel to customer locations

  • Must have at least one calendar year of delivering year over year growth in excess of 7% with IPG.

  • Must be employed with IPG a minimum 2 years.

  • Successful experience in selling, marketing implants.

  • Willing to travel as needed.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to build trust, gain support, and influence others.

  • Results-oriented, self-motivated leader who can work in a team environment, as well as, make sound independent decisions.

  • Good judgment and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop

  • Impeccable interpersonal skills appropriate to audience and selling situation.

  • Strong negotiation skills with a record of favorable outcomes that mutually benefit the company, and providers.

  • Takes initiative, displays professionalism, has high energy level and dedication to company and the job.

  • Highly organized and disciplined with exceptional follow-up skills.

  • Willing to work hard, detail oriented and able to work under pressure.

  • Outgoing customer friendly attitude and enjoys working with people.

  • Motivated and self-driven, with a proven history of success in sales.

  • Understand medical terminology and clinical knowledge to be able to communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Technical Requirements:

Currently, Evolent employees work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19. As such, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

Compensation Range: The minimum salary for this position is $85,000, plus benefits. Salaries are determined by the skill set required for the position and commensurate with experience and may vary above and below the stated amounts.
