CSC Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable technology infrastructure across four global brands, an e-commerce platform, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, e-commerce, data, and supply chain platforms to enhance customer experience and service in an ever-evolving industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly in AWS and Terraform. As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud architecture using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. You will also lead a team of cloud engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship. HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Design and Implement Cloud Architecture: Develop and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architecture solutions using AWS and Terraform. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC principles to automate and streamline infrastructure provisioning and management. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure components, including virtual networks, storage, databases, and security. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring best practices are followed. Collaboration: Work closely with software development, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services. Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor cloud infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Security: Ensure cloud infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements. Disaster Recovery and Backup: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies for cloud infrastructure. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, infrastructure, configurations, and processes. YOU ARE Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. YOU HAVE Proven experience as a software engineer before transitioning to a cloud engineering role. Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda). Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management. Experience with other IaC tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Ansible) is a plus. Proficient in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go). Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security principles. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
