In this role, you will partner with our member focused internal teams in Product and Member Engagement, Marketing, and Service Delivery to unearth actionable insights, contribute to decision-making, and enrich our understanding of our members. Your day might include: Conducting in-depth research on member behavior, demographics, and product trends Utilizing statistical, machine learning, and data visualization techniques to explore internal and external data sets Using machine learning and statistical models to predict and forecast member behaviors, trends and product preferences Presenting complex findings in clear and simple language to staff at all levels of the organization Creating visually compelling and easily understandable dashboards Compiling member reports for use by senior leadership and others across the organization Continuously develop visualization and storytelling abilities Working closely with Product Design, Member Experience, Marketing, and Service delivery to answer questions and aid in research Partnering with and be an active member of the WSECU analyst community Collaborating with Data Engineering team to support development and validation of enterprise data sets Supporting data requests What you bring to the team: Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following areas: Econometrics, Operations Research, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Analytics, Computer Science, Hard Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline Minimum Two (2) years' experience using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar dashboarding tool Minimum Two (2) years' experience using SQL to develop queries to analysis Minimum One (1) year experience using Python to develop machine learning tools Minimum Three (3) years' experience working in financial services Expertise in at least one of the following: economic modeling, statistical and predictive modeling, machine-learning approaches such as clustering and classification techniques, recommendation and optimization algorithms Demonstrated understanding of the financial and economic levers that impact WSECU's business performance Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively utilize these techniques to tell compelling stories Demonstrated ability to communicate operational and technical issues to a wide variety of audiences at all organizational levels Competitive base pay: $94,128.06 - $141,192.10 annually, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position. The target range for qualified new hires is typically within the first half of the range.
