A Beginning Alliance Contract Correctional Officer in Olympia, Washington
A Beginning Alliance is looking for Full and Part Time Contract Correctional Officers. This position will be responsible for the custodial supervision of 26 adult offenders at a 24 hour/7 day per week facility. Duties will include surveillance, counts, medication control, monitoring visitors, imposing sanctions for negative behavior and may need to assist in food preparation. This position also records all messages, facilitates treatment plans for residents and attends monthly staff meetings. Must become familiar with facility policies and procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Corrections, Military or other Custodial Experience Preferred, but not required
- Must be able to learn and follow facility policies and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Ability to handle confidential matters professionally and with discretion
- Criminal background check
- Fingerprint check
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a current, valid Washington State Driver's License or ID
- Must be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
- Obtain Food Handler's Card
