In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team that will support you as you grow toward your professional goals. You'll serve as our primary processor, contact and support for wire transfers. In this role, you'll be coordinating the wire workflow, sending and receiving incoming batches, and ensuring timely processing and daily balancing to the Federal Reserve and US Bank systems. Your day may include: Providing wire-related support organization-wide Ensuring accurate and timely posting of wires to member and general ledger accounts by following WSECU security and balancing procedures Reporting any incidents or rule changes that govern WSECU's wire activity to meet member notification and regulatory compliance requirements Reviewing AP payment file Collecting and preparing foreign check and collection items for clearing at US Bank Processing WSECU cashier check exceptions and balancing Processing the daily posting of JV's submitted to the JV inbox Working with various enterprise systems and answering questions for assigned functions Reconciling assigned general ledgers and supporting month-end process and reporting Collaborating with both front and back office employees with varying levels of authority, regulators, external and internal auditors, and outside business partners Proactively seeking out improvements to processes and optimization of related systems What you bring to the team: Two (2) year accounting degree or two (2) years' accounting experience Microsoft Office Experience-intermediate Excel with experience updating formulas, comfortable with Word and PCs Data entry experience in a data intensive environment 10-key proficiency and accuracy Knowledge of operational procedures and understanding of technical accounting processes Patience and tact working with members and co-workers Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to change in a positive and effective manner Bonus Points if you have: Four year degree with a primary focus on accounting Financial institution experience Experience with Symitar and Concur systems Experience working and troubleshooting within ERP systems including sub-modules and/or one or more accounting systems Competitive pay: $19.67 - $29.50 per hour or annual, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position. The target range for qualified new hires is typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account. Position location: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA.
