Vitamix Management Corporation Lead Database Administrator (Olmstead Township, OH) - Position is 100% remote. Responsible for driving the maintenance of the company's database environments and supporting the company Development teams and end users. Support the development and organization of databases and development environments, assess and implement new technologies, and ensure that the information, data storage requirements, development environments, and organization skill sets meet business requirements for security, stability, reliability, etc. Leverage the appropriate tools to assist in the automated management of the database and transaction processing environment. Execute database and development environment processes and periodic maintenance tasks including functional patching, security patching, database tuning, database upgrades, etc. Define and leads the implementation of data management and code migration processes. Assist with the backup, clustering, mirroring, replication, and failover activities. Provide assistance in the areas of database security, security of the data in the database, and secure coding techniques.
Up to 10% travel required.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field. Foreign equivalents accepted.
7 years experience as a Database Administrator, Consultant, or related occupation.
Must include some experience with:
- Architecting Oracle cloud IaaS solutions to enable Cloud and Hybrid cloud solutions.
- Planning and leading Cloud Strategy, Cloud Migration, data center consolidation, and technology refresh engagements leveraging Oracle Cloud technologies.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining Oracle Databases and Applications such as Oracle E-Business Suite for Development, Testing and Production usage.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining SQL Servers in development, test and production environments.
- Troubleshooting problems that arise during SQL, service packs installations and fixes the issues.
- Installing and configuring SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
