Description An expanding company in Leucadia is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee the financial performance and reporting of their ongoing projects. This role will require close collaboration with project leaders and other departments to ensure accurate cost tracking, compliance with budgets, and precise reporting of project financials. It’s an ideal opportunity for a detail-driven accountant with a background in project-based financial management. Key Responsibilities: + Manage project-specific financial records, including tracking budgets, costs, and variances. + Prepare project financial statements and deliver periodic updates to stakeholders. + Monitor and report on contract expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgeted amounts. + Collaborate with project managers to develop and review budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. + Handle cost allocations, invoicing, and revenue recognition for each project. + Ensure compliance with contract terms as well as local, state, and federal regulations. + Support audits and ensure accurate documentation of all project-related financial transactions. Requirements + 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on project-based work preferred. + Proficiency in accounting and ERP software such as Job Costing, Sage, or similar tools. + Familiarity with construction accounting or large-scale project finances is advantageous. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. + Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
