Description: A Production Manager job in Oldsmar, FL is currently available at Belcan. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree plus ten or more years of production and/or manufacturing management experience. In this role, you will lead the product realization process from quoting to contract review through customer order fulfillment.

Job Duties :

· Overall responsibility for ensuring production and supply chain teams meet or exceed goals for safety, engagement, quality, cost, and delivery

· Oversee cost estimating process for all electronic material and assembly quote requests (internal & external)

· Ensure all new quotes are complete and accurate including costs for human and physical resource demands, component lead times, capital investments, and tooling

· Develop capacity strategies and implementation plans and programs to support sales plan

· Own and continually improve the product realization process

· Manage production schedules to ensure on-time and on-cost deliveries across all active programs

· Continually develop and improve production management system

· Continually develop and improve metrics that support our company objectives and requirements

· Own material purchasing, handling, inventorying, and management processes

· Continually improve purchasing and material handling functions to support company needs

· Develop strategies and implement processes that reduce purchased material costs and improve vendor on-time delivery and quality

· Support and assist strategies and plans for facility capacity to meet growth

· Manage production facility and equipment maintenance programs

· Continually improve and implement new programs and tools to develop and support our culture

· Work closely with all employees to promote and improve our culture

Required Qualifications and Skills:

· Engineering degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Systems engineering and/or equivalent years of experience in an electronics production/manufacturing environment

· Ten or more years of successful production leadership experience on fixed firm price programs

· Experience with risk identification and management on fixed firm pricing programs

· Lean or 6 Sigma certification a major plus

· Experience with process review, creation, implementation, and improvement is a must

· Prior experience with cable/wire harnesses and/or test station manufacturing is required

· Experience with ERP or MRP systems is required

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required

· Successful candidate must demonstrate excellent team building and communication skills

· Supervisory experience is required (will supervise 10 technicians, 1 production engineers, 1 buyer, 1 material handler, 1 quality inspector)

· Must be a U. S. Citizen

Compensation:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $130,000-$150,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
