BASIC PURPOSE : Ensure all fuel invoices from suppliers are reconciled and paid in an accurate and timely manner and supervise fuel payables clerks who process fuel invoices.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise Fuel Payables department.

• Complete and publish daily Fuel Payables metrics reports to accounting personnel.

• Complete the daily accounts payable interface between accounting systems.

• Payable match supplier invoices in back-office system.

• Ensure accuracy of supplier invoice and internal data before processing invoices.

• Calculate adjustments in system as needed.

• Proactively contact suppliers to request credits for incorrect billing, missing invoices, etc.

• Work frequently with other departments and outside companies to obtain necessary information to payable match fuel invoices accurately.

• Review back-office accounting system to determine missing invoices from suppliers.

• Assist fuel staff accountants in reviewing issues related to supplier EFT draft notices.

• Meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.

• Other duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:

• High school Diploma or equivalent required

• Some college a plus

• Experience:

• Experience in analyzing and/or auditing large amounts of data and data entry. Fuel experience a plus.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Skills:

• Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SolArc Right Angle knowledge, and Accounting knowledge

• Soft Skills: Excellent oral and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, ability to multitask, team player, and keen attention to detail

• Typical Physical Demands:

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

• Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

• Possible evening/weekend work.
