Vectrus Power Production Technician Lead in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The Power Production Technician Lead is responsible for the operation, maintenance and inspection of power production equipment. Subject to CBA.

Major Job Activities:
Operates and maintains diesel and gas generating units.
Operates and maintains auxiliary equipment.
Inspects equipment for malfunctions
Performs Quality Assurance (QA) inspections as laid out in the site Quality Control Plan.
Ensures all assigned and required tasks are performed during their shift.
Oils, greases and adjusts machinery and equipment and makes minor repairs.
Makes periodic inspections to see that all equipment and controls are operating properly and are in good condition.
Maintains consumption, waste records and fills out the daily logbook.
Maintains all appropriate HAZMAT forms and binders, i.e. AF IMT 3952 (Chemical/Hazardous Material Request/Authorization), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
Performs all daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections as required on SAP.
Reports defects and recommends improvements, alterations and repairs.
Maintains inventory lists and requisitions supplies, materials and repair parts.
Cleans floors, windows, tools and power plant equipment.
Assists in training other technicians on new procedures and advanced work related tasks.
Performs related work appropriate to the classification as assigned.
Keeps records of fuel used, power production, and general operating conditions.
Performs all other tasks deemed essential by Site Manager.
Material & Equipment Directly Used:
Hand tools, specialty tools, gauges, electronic devices/meters, jigs, alignment devices and web based computer maintenance and inventory programs. Steel Toe shoes are required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas while work is being conducted. Such PPE includes, but is not limited to: Face Mask, head, foot, hand, vision and hearing protective devices. Periodic use of computer systems and multi-function devices (MFD).
Work is generally conducted in a shop environment or other facilities and warehouses, hangars, and buildings. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the outdoors in all seasons. Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Able to work in extreme weather conditions for moderate periods of time.
Able to lift at least 30 to 50 pounds.
Able to stand for long periods.
Education / Certifications:
High school degree or equivalent.
HAZMAT, HAZCOM training certifications.
Capability to obtain a USAF flight line driver’s license.
Must have a valid US driver’s license.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Active Secret Clearance.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the electrical power generation field.
Shall be qualified as Power Production journeyman or master technician with experience in the maintenance and operation of commercial grade generators ranging in size from 5 to 4300 kilowatts desired.
Knowledge of document and report writing.
Technical understanding of power plant operation and maintenance.
Knowledge of safe work practices and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Knowledge of lockout and tag out procedures.
