Job Description: Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

The Food Production Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment used in our food production processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance, a strong understanding of food safety regulations, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on food production machinery and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and procedures.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.

  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and address equipment-related issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workshop and storage areas.

  • Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols and practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a food production or industrial environment.

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.

  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field.

  • Experience with automated food production systems and machinery.

  • Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other control systems.
