Essential Job Functions :
Field recruiting calls on an as needed basis
Review applications of prospective hires and make determination if the applicant is qualified
Process applications for new hires and rehires as needed
Conduct personal interviews daily with prospective candidates
Provide direction, guidance and counseling to location staff who are involved in recruiting efforts
Complete background checks including pulling PSP and MVR reports
Travel to various locations for recruiting efforts as needed
Support re-hire and retention efforts
Complete transfers and onboarding process through Paycom, TenStreet, and TMW for new and existing hires.
Be on call evenings and weekends to answer recruiting questions as needed.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration :
Three to five years of recruiting experience (transportation industry preferred)
College degree preferred or equivalent recruiting experience
Paycom, Tenstreet, 3rd Party Administrator experience desired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT laws and regulations highly preferred
Must have a concierge customer service mindset and quality of service delivery
Agile approach to changes in strategy, customer demand, and/or recruiting challenges
Experienced in teambuilding, establishing relationships and communication skills
Must be able to operate with a sense of urgency, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be customer service oriented
Ability to align driver recruiting efforts with the company’s operational needs
Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to display professional demeanor
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
Physical Requirements:
Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activity.
Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).
Working Conditions:
Requires travel at least 10% of the time.
Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.
