Job Description:

This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the hospital and associated buildings in a sanitary, clean, safe, and attractive manner and to work in specialized areas that require additional training.

• Additional Details: Full-time position (40 hrs/wk) currently available at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT.

Job Essentials

1. Cleans and disinfects assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.

2. Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.

3. Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.

4. Handles and cleans up emergency spills per department guidelines as well as to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.

5. Operates and maintains assigned equipment according to established procedures.

6. Maintains work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety.

7. Uses supplies appropriately and effectively.

8. Reports problems with equipment and facility in an appropriate and timely manner.

9. Performs walk-through inspections.

10. Assists in scheduling, training, giving work direction to employees and giving input into hiring and firing decisions.

11. Understands proper floor care procedures to clean and sanitize floors.

Minimum Qualifications

One year working as a housekeeper within Intermountain

• and -

Able to use a 3 step ladder

• and -

Must be able to communicate effectively including reading color coded labels and chemicals and having the ability to follow written and verbal directions

Preferred Qualifications

Professional housekeeping experience

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$17.00 - $22.10
