Senior Software Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Dual-Message Authorization organization located in the O'Fallon Tech Hub.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams in developing highly scalable, reliable, maintainable, performant and secure applications.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about software delivery, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and a strong team player.

Role

The Senior Software Engineer is a hands-on developer specializing in C, and C++ with a particular focus on highly scalable robust systems.

What you will do:

Design and develop highly technical solutions to meet technical business requirements.

Responsible for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions.

Participate in planning, design, and estimation, develop technical solutions to meet business requirements in accordance with MasterCard standards, processes, and best practices.

Write modular, extensible, readable, and performant code.

Build, develop, mentor and coach junior team members.

All About You

Proven track record of developing high performing software as part of a cross-functional Agile team.

Demonstrate an awareness of strong engineering principles, processes, and best practices.

Experience working with highly scalable, reliable, maintainable, performant and secure applications.

Familiarity with software delivery skills such as: Agile, User Stories, Pair Programming, Test-Driven Development.

Demonstrate strong communication and team working capabilities.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
