The Test Engineer within R&D Test Engineering plays a crucial role in executing and improving testing processes to ensure the quality and reliability of our physical products. As Test Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to design and execute comprehensive test plans that support product development and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Design and Development: Design, develop, and execute test plans and procedures for new and existing products, focusing on performance, functionality, durability, and compliance. Collaborate with design and development teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test cases

  • Test Execution: Conduct various tests, including functional, performance, and stress tests, ensuring all tests adhere to established requirements and standards. Monitor, collect, and analyze test data, preparing detailed reports to highlight test results, anomalies, and potential areas for improvement

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in testing methods, equipment, and processes to enhance testing efficiency and product quality

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and cross functional teams to support testing activities and align on project goals and timelines. Provide technical support and insights to assist in troubleshooting and resolving product issues

  • Documentation: Document test procedures, results, and any deviations from expected outcomes, maintaining detailed records for future reference. Ensure all testing documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal and external standards

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all testing activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards

    To be successful in this role, we imagine you have the following experience and background:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of testing methodologies, equipment, and best practices, with hands-on experience in executing test plans and procedures

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of test data and documentation

  • Craftmanship: Hands on experience using workshop tools or building test stands

  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly document and present findings

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field

  • Experience: Relevant experience in a testing or quality assurance role, preferably in a hardware or robotics environment
