JOB REQUIREMENTS: We Are Hiring:Surgical Technologist - Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital - .9 FTE (Days) Schedule: 6:30 AM-3:00/5:00 PM with on call requirements (3-4 overnight weekday call in a 6-week schedule and 1 weekend every 6-8 weeks). At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN and ophthalmology. Our 8 operating rooms, freshly renovated in May 2020, include new system integration for more efficient flow during surgery. Under the direct supervision of an RN or physician, you will facilitate a physician\'s performance of therapeutic, diagnostic, and invasive procedures. You will ensure the operating room is safe, equipment is functioning, and patient safety is maximized throughout the procedure. Key Responsibilities: First Scrub: Prepare and maintain sterile fields, pass instruments, and anticipate needs during surgeries. Support: Act as second assisting technologist and contribute to all surgical case preparations (skin prep, sterile draping, etc.). Safety & Readiness: Ensure the operating room is safe, all equipment is functioning, and procedures are performed under the highest standards of aseptic technique. Learning & Growth: Meet ST II requirements, complete annual learning activities, and mentor new employees or students. Team Collaboration: Actively participate in performance improvement efforts and support department efficiency.
