Job Description:

​Parsons is looking for a professional, energetic Network Engineer who has experience implementing and managing multiple network configurations. In this role, your knowledge of networking technologies and security practices will be put to the test as you collaborate with your teammates to make your customer’s requirements become reality.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, deploy, and validate physical/virtual network topologies

• Configure and manage network services

• Monitor and optimize network performance

• Ensure network security and enforce policy compliance

• Upgrade and update the network as needed

• Provide first-class troubleshooting and customer service support

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related discipline. (A combination of education and demonstrable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.)

• Minimum 5 years related professional experience

• Expertise in implementing various physical and software defined network topologies

• Proficiency with various network protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, IPSec, and EIGRP

• Proficiency deploying and troubleshooting various network services such as NAS, VPNs, and PKI

• Proficiency deploying and managing firewalls such as Cisco and Forcepoint

• Experience conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments

• Experience with network monitoring and log management

• Experience with managing networks within a container orchestration environment

• Experience with endpoint and network security tools

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent

• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent

• Active Secret clearance is required and therefore all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with FIPS compliant VPN solutions

• CISSP

Salary Range:

$70,500.00 - $145,800.00
