MUSIC INSTRUCTOR -

Were seeking for aMusic Instructorto join our TERI team!

The Music Instructor is responsible for providing music experiences and education to TERI nonpublic school students, including but not limited to program planning and development and student training and interaction. Music experiences should be multi-sensory and at a level that allows all students, regardless of severity of their disability, to participate. Music Instructors will provide directions to Student Instructional Assistants or Registered Behavior Technicians who will help with the delivery of planned music activities.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

Develops and delivers adapted music experiences that address all levels of student ability.

  • Develops activities that are multi-sensory in nature and suitable for individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Maintains current knowledge of developments in music experiences related to our student population.
  • Sets up, breaks down, and manages the equipment needed to provide music experiences; submits tickets for maintenance or purchasing needs; keeps an inventory of equipment.
  • Submits weekly or monthly music lesson plans to nonpublic school directors, including scheduling for group attendance at lessons.
  • Uses a range of teaching approaches to make lessons enjoyable, challenging, and productive.
  • Ability to use and operate electronic music and audio equipment.
  • Provides maintenance and upkeep of the facility, classroom, materials, and student belongings as required.
  • Completes necessary documentation as or if assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS -

  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED).
  • One-year related experience in designing and delivering music experiences to individuals with special needs.

Salary Range -

$23.00 - $24.00 Hourly

Position Status -

Part-Time (15-20 hours/week)
