Town of Ocean City Tram Driver-Seasonal in Ocean City, Maryland
The Town of Ocean City's Transportation Department is accepting applications for Summer 2024. General duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: Drives the length of the boardwalk with the radio assistance of the Conductor, in accordance with the applicable traffic laws of the federal, state, and local government. Requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively. Assists passengers with special needs or disabilities on and off of the tram. All drivers shall operate in a safe and professional manner at all times.
Work schedule:
- includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
Position Details:
- Minimum of 20 years old
- Four (4) years of driving experience
- A high school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, and experience
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and random Drug and Alcoholtests.
- Have or be able to obtain a DOT physical/Medical Certification Card
- Must have a valid driverslicense.
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class B with passenger endorsement, preferred, but notrequired.
- Hourly rates:
$16.39 for new tram drivers and $16.71 for returning tram drivers (who meet specified requirements)**
CDL:$16.88 for new tram drivers and $17.22 for returning tram drivers (who meet specified requirements)
