Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Security Analyst I in Oakland, California.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze email gateway filters for patterns or significant changes.

• Conduct basic security analysis, identifying potential vulnerabilities.

• Utilize security tools such as Rapid7 (SIEM) and Avanan to manage logs and interpret data.

• Collaborate with the help desk to address security concerns and ensure endpoint management.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of IT security principles, including antivirus and vulnerability management.

• Experience with operating systems and familiarity with basic security tools.

• Background in help desk or similar roles with exposure to security analysis tasks.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to escalate issues based on data analysis.

• Experience in log management and endpoint management.

• Previous work experience demonstrating a progression toward security-focused responsibilities.
