Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This person will be responsible for general facilities maintenance and repairs of a commercial property. This includes but is not limited to:

• Light Electrical work such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, switches, and outlets
• Light Plumbing work such as unclogging drains, toilets, and replacing fixtures
• Basic painting touch-ups
• Replacing carpet
• Miscellaneous facilities maintenance duties
• Turning over office units
• May be required to perform general cleaning such as sweeping and mopping during downtime.

Any work that is too complex will be contracted out to a third-party electrical, HVAC, or plumbing service.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Oakland, California.

Work Environment

8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Location: Oakland, CA, Berkeley (Ashby Courts, Hearst Studios, University Neighborhood Apt). This is a temp-to-hire position with a 30-minute lunch break. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Property Supervisor and the Property Manager.
