Canvas Health is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid. Position Summary This position is responsible for providing psychiatric care to children and adolescents in an outpatient setting. This includes providing diagnostic assessments and ongoing medication management for a potentially complicated patient population and facilitating hospitalization when necessary. The provider will develop and sustain productive client relationships with the assistance of the psychiatric support staff. The provider will also need to work collaboratively with programs and staff across the agency to provide strong coordination of care. Location: Oakdale Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited institution Completion of an approved General Psychiatry Residency Program with special focus in child/adolescent psychiatry OR Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification in Minnesota Active licensure to practice medicine in the state of Minnesota Currently credentialed or eligible to become a credentialed provider with insurance entities Preferred Qualifications Experience working with and/or delivering services to diverse populations Abilify to work collaboratively in a team setting across multiple disciplines As an essential healthcare provider, Canvas Health follows all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 precautions.
