Description

Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server databases.

Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.

Ensure data integrity and security by implementing and managing backup and recovery processes.

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.

Develop and implement database performance tuning strategies.

Manage database access, ensuring appropriate permissions are in place.

Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and database designs.

Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including data dictionaries, schemas, and entity-relationship diagrams.

Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator or similar role.

Proficiency in SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

Experience with database performance tuning and optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Knowledge of backup, recovery, and security management.

Familiarity with SQL query writing and optimization.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
