Job Summary Join our Oak Creek, WI team as a Systems Engineering Intern! Our internships are hands on, highly technical, and designed to let you see what it\'s like to work at Astronautics. This is a paid undergraduate intern opportunity. As an engineering intern, you will work closely with our engineering staff on actual customer projects. Our summer intern program consists of at least 10 weeks of real world experience in an engineering development environment. In addition to systems engineering, we have open opportunities in data security, electrical, quality, and software engineering this summer. Mentors are assigned to assist interns in achieving engineering related career development that is of mutual benefit to you and Astronautics. Our internship program includes events and opportunities to meet other interns and employees across the organization. As a Systems Engineering Intern, you will support engineers in the development, verification, and maintenance of system definition in Primary Flight displays, Secure Network Servers, Data Concentration Units, or Flight Controls. You will work under the supervision of engineering managers and other experienced engineers to engage in all phases of development including the following activities: Participate in systems development activities including requirement specification and design definition. Perform system verification activities including test definition, test execution, and review of lifecycle artifacts. Integrate and debug executable code on avionics hardware platforms. Support the generation of lifecycle documentation for avionic systems in the pursuit of formal certification with the FAA and foreign certification authorities. Through the above design and assurance activities, you will obtain a working knowledge of the product development lifecycle in a regulatory, controlled market. Desired Skills: Strong communication, analytical, organizational and problem solving skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Capability of working independently with limited oversight from senior engineers Education and Experience: Required Current accredited college or university enrollment with junior or senior standing; making progress towards an undergraduate degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Biomedical, Computer, Mechanical, Software, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 Working knowledge of engineering concepts, practices & procedures Proficient in Microsoft Office...
