Job Title: Desktop Support Analyst - Contract Position

Location: Oakbrook, IL

Duration: Contract

Introduction:

Our client, a reputable company based in Oakbrook, IL, is seeking a driven and skilled Desktop Support Analyst! We're looking for a professional who boasts a strong background in problem solving and possesses exceptional team-working skills. This job is perfectly suited for candidates who possess a diverse set of skills including Windows 10, Hardware support, and familiarity with a ticketing system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

• Maintain daily performance of computer systems, respond to email messages for customers seeking help, and run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.

• Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.

• Participate in maintaining and improving help desk procedures and standards.

• Track, route, and redirect problems to correct resources.

• Walk customers through problem-solving processes, and follow up with customers, provide feedback, and see problems through to resolution.

  Requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a desktop support role.

• Proficiency in Windows 10.

• Strong technical understanding of IT hardware.

• Experience with a ticketing system is a must.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks.

• A strong sense of responsibility and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Educational Requirement:

A degree in IT or a related field is preferred. Relevant qualifications such as Microsoft certifications will be considered an advantage.
