LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Aircraft Maintenance Tech) in Oak Brook, Illinois

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary: As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of our aircraft to ensure they are in optimal operating condition. Your primary goal is to maintain the safety and airworthiness of the aircraft, meeting all regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Aircraft Worked:B717, B737, B757
  2. Aircraft Inspections:Conduct routine and non-routine aircraft inspections to identify and rectify mechanical, electrical, and avionic issues. Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and Delta's maintenance procedures.
  3. Maintenance and Repairs:Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on various aircraft systems and components. This includes engines, landing gear, avionics, hydraulics, and other critical systems.
  4. Documentation:Accurately document all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs using computerized maintenance management systems: complete maintenance records, logbooks, and technical reports.
  5. Part Replacement:Replace or repair aircraft parts and components as necessary. Ensure that all parts are sourced from approved suppliers and are compliantwith industry standards.
  6. Testing and Verification:Conduct post-maintenance testing to verify the proper functioning of repaired or replaced components. This includes system checks, test flights, and ground tests.
  7. Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials, use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with safety guidelines and procedures.
  8. Team Collaboration:Collaborate with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and support staff to troubleshoot complex technical issues and efficiently complete tasks.
  9. Continuous Learning:Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulation changes to ensure compliance and improve skills and knowledge.
  10. Emergency Response:Be prepared to respond to aircraft emergencies and provide technical assistance during unscheduled maintenance events, ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers and crew.
