Reporting to theSuperintendent, Reliability & Continuous Improvement, the Jr. Mechanical Engineer will work with different area of the department and other department. He will participate to develop & implement CI project using tools such as (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Time Study, etc). He will also work closely with the reliability team to perform study cases and analysis (RCFA, vibration & oil sampling). He will also work and participate to planning and scheduling activities and act as a relieve planner when require (vacation, sick leave, etc). The Jr. Mechanical Engineer will also need to work in compliance with established health, safety, environmental, regulatory and internal corporate requirements.
Main Accountabilities
Participate in development, implementation and adherence to safe work procedures and promote high safety, health and environmental awareness and compliance to all standards.
Drive continuous improvement by conducting a thorough analysis of data and environment.
Implement effective measurement tools associated with continuous improvement tracking.
Support in managing mechanical failures analysis (RCFA).
Effective and thorough capability in the utilization of SAP maintenance management computer system and Microsoft Office.
Estimating and identifying work scope for project.
Effective communication, liaison with project stakeholders and coordination with colleagues including those on opposite rotation.
Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor.

Main Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3 or more years of experience in mechanical engineering in mining or construction sector
Experience with AUTOCAD, SolidWorks or similar software
Arctic and remote site experience
Knowledge of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, mathematics
Knowledge of pumping systems, hydraulics, conveyance systems, HVAC
Digital Literacy skills: Knowledge of digital tools and technology.Proficient with standard office software such as Microsoft Office, andMicrosoft Project or similar software. Proficient with FEA software, product lifecycle management (PLM), computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
Customer/Client Focus skills: Ability to identify and prioritize customer needs and recognise constraints, adopt a professional approach to customers, and seek to provide a better service. Is reliable and delivers on promises.
