Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving growth? Join our Marketing, Audience, and Digital Development team in a pivotal leadership role.

As the Senior Manager Audience Growth, you’ll be responsible for developing audience expansion strategies to maximise consumer revenue for The Australian and Prestige portfolio. Your mission will be to develop and refine our target audience strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance our content, propositions, and marketing efforts. Your insights will help retain and engage our core audiences while attracting new ones, ensuring alignment with our brand and business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations to optimise audience acquisition, engagement, and retention across content, marketing, and product features.

  • Utilise data analytics tools to deeply understand audience behaviour on The Australian and Prestige digital platforms, driving strategic advantages for both current and future initiatives.

  • Provide collaborative and strategic guidance to marketing, product, editorial, and commercial teams, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaborative with colleagues to conduct market research and analysis, monitor competitor activities and industry trends, and identify growth opportunities by staying ahead of emerging trends.

  • Develop new propositions and content verticals, to drive audience engagement and growth.

Who are you?

  • Experienced in generating strategic, data-driven recommendations with a proven track record of driving business growth and optimising performance.

  • Skilled in analysing audience journeys and content effectiveness, using insights to inform product and marketing strategies.

  • A strong collaborator with a talent for building effective relationships across teams and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

  • An inspiring leader with a can-do, solution-oriented attitude who thrives in fast-paced environments.

  • Commercially astute, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to link audience engagement to business outcomes.

  • Proficient in Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, etc.), with experience in PowerPoint; familiarity with Tableau, SQL, and Adobe Analytics (or similar platforms) is a plus.
