Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and collaborative Engineering Manager to lead our Engineering Systems and Services team within the Enterprise Systems and Experience (ESE) Organization. This team is at the core of Autodesk’s digital transformation, supporting essential tools and services to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and empower our global workforce. The Engineering Manager will drive the design and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructures, enable customer-focused solutions, and lead a team committed to excellence in service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative environment

  • Provide technical oversight to ensure deliverables are reliable, performant, and secure

  • Manage infrastructure and deployment pipelines with a strong focus on AWS, Terraform, and other IaC tools

  • Handle customer interactions and intake requests and manage escalations to resolve issues promptly

  • Serve as a primary escalation contact for Jira, Confluence, and Centercode applications

  • Participate in administration, incident management, and recovery actions during outages

  • Drive agile development practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and roadmap development

  • Collaborate across functions for seamless integration and exceptional service delivery

  • Advocate for continuous process improvements to enhance value, reduce costs, and optimize the customer experience

  • Provide coaching, technical support, and career development opportunities for team members

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience leading technical teams, with a commitment to inclusive team culture

  • Minimum of 6+ years of enterprise project management, with expertise in AWS, Terraform, Linux, SQL/NoSQL, and microservices

  • Advanced experience with Jira, Confluence, and foundational support for Centercode

  • Strong communication skills to bridge technical concepts with non-technical stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience in Agile practices, Scrum, and process improvement

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, customer-focused solutions

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $129,200 and $209,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
