Robert Half Insurance Follow-Up Specialist in Nottingham, Maryland

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Insurance Follow-Up Specialist based in Nottingham, Maryland, United States. The role is primarily within the insurance industry and the workplace is flexible with options for remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Follow up on insurance claims and ensure prompt payment from insurance companies.

• Work on denied claims and prepare appeals for these cases.

• Conduct in-depth research as part of the follow-up process.

• Utilize CRM, EHR SYSTEM, Epic Software, and other relevant platforms to perform billing functions and claim administration.

• Handle insurance denials and appeals submittal, ensuring the utmost accuracy and efficiency.

• Work with authorizations and maintain a systematic approach to claim denials.

• Ensure the effective use of your skills in CRM, EHR SYSTEM, Epic Software, Authorizations, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Claim Denials, Insurance Denials, Appeals Submittal.

• Regularly update and maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Handle customer inquiries related to their credit accounts, providing excellent customer service and resolution. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.

• Proficiency in CRM and EHR systems is necessary.

• Familiarity with Epic Software is essential.

• Experience with authorizations, billing functions, claim administration is required.

• Knowledge and understanding of claim denials, insurance denials, and appeals submittal is a must.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

• Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is crucial in this role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is needed.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.

• Knowledge of medical insurance policies and regulations is a plus.
