Description Robert Half is a well-established employment agency providing recruitment and staffing services across global markets. We are now assisting a nonprofit organization in searching for a entry level Accountant on a contract-to-permanent basis.

We are looking for an success driven entry level Accountant to be an integral part of our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, with a keen interest in driving efficiency and improving processes.

Responsibilities: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance. Ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciling subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. Analyzing and prepare reports detailing monthly expenses by cost center. Implementing, modifying, and documenting recordkeeping and accounting systems. Comprehending nonprofit accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Applying cost accounting principles to accurately report on fund source expenditures. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit sector. Proficient in Word, Excel, and financial software applications. Excellent analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality. Proficient understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies. Being a contract-to-permanent position, the candidate will be expected to transition into a permanent role based on performance and fit.
