The Senior Financial Analyst role in Siemens Healthcare Point of Care will initiate, execute and evaluate effectiveness of planning, analysis and reporting activities within the business area. As part of a team, and through best in class, data-driven analytics, this role will partner and/or lead cross-functional teams for strategic and tactical decision making; will be a lead role in generating financial insights in the monthly/quarter global results, with focus on R&D spend and resource allocations. This role will have responsibility for coordinating the BU’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial cadence (forecasting, actual reporting and analysis, budgeting, strategic planning) for the POC R&D function and will provide key presentations on financial status at various management team meetings.

  • Guidingthe analysis of financial results to determine accuracy and completenessof information.

  • Developingvarious financial reports and reviews with management on financial plansand budgets. Specific tasks include determining and discussing financialanalysis at very complex levels including rate of return, depreciation,working capital, investments, budgeting, and financial and expenseperformance comparisons.

  • Guidingand maintaining conformance to IFRS requirements, and coordinate withauditors

  • Drivingand optimizing monthly forecast process and making recommendations to managementabout specific actions needed to deliver on targets using data-drivendecision-making process, aligning organization and collaborating withstakeholders on a monthly basis to implement targeted performanceimprovement. Specific analytics include monthly forecast and actualvariances, gathering and evaluating key project activities and statusimpacting forecasts to senior management team.

  • Actingas a world-wide Controller / Financial partner for POC R&D toestablish and drive attainment of R&D, cash flow and productivitytargets. Areas of management include driving R&D annualbudget process and 5-year strategic plan. Report global R&D results tointernal finance team and external cross-functional groups within SiemensHealthineers.

  • ConductingFinancial Project Plans for ongoing and new R&D projects

  • ConductingQuarterly ASTAR reporting and compliance certification.

  • ConductingQuarterly R&D tax surveys and compliance.

  • Maintainingfunctional independence and provide a controlling function with proactive communicationand analysis to the BU

  • Approximately 10% travel required.

Required Knowledge,Skills, Experience, Capabilities for the role:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, orBusiness

  • Experience:minimum of 8 years of progressive analytical and controlling experience,with demonstrated career progression in a similar environment.


  • Abilityto distill business processes and results into actionable information forsenior leadership, very strong presentation skills.

  • Abilityto analyze as well as organize and quality orientation is a mainrequirement for the controlling area. Arranging and balancing activitiesto comply with various tasks and due dates is also key requirement

  • Verygood communication and networking skills, result and quality orientationas well as a pro-active attitude, including an appropriate interculturalsensitivity and ability to establish virtual networks across cultures andlocations.

  • Excellentteam player: Ability to manage horizontal teams and lead cross-functionaleffort. Have worked with cross functional disciplines and coordination ofbusiness operations, finance, accounting, audit and external personnelacross various levels

  • Knowledgeand experience in project management. Strong attention to detail andstrong analytical ability

  • Displays excellent business acumen and understanding ofcomplex organizational structures, reporting structures & process andthe budget and forecast process.

  • Strong systems skill in SAP, expert Excel and PowerPointcapabilities.

  • Knowledge and experience in project management. Strongattention to detail and strong analytical ability

  • SAPexperience, including SAP BW (Data Warehouse reporting).

  • Bewell versed with Healthcare R&D developmental methodology and requirements.

  • Understandand apply the concept of intangible capitalization of development projectsand its impact on the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow Statement

  • Displayability to optimize and standardize process workflows and have a trackrecord of driving business improvements based on prior experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Experience,Capabilities for the role:

  • Master’sDegree, MBA, CPA or equivalent

  • Preferencetowards candidates that have worked in an international business settingand have experiences working and communicating with multiple cultures

  • Strongexperience with data analytics tools (Alteryx, Qlik, Tableau,etc.)

  • Experiencein Healthcare business and having a good understanding of HealthcareIndustry dynamics, with a special focus on Healthcare diagnostics

Position reports directly to Head of Finance PLM and is based in Norwood, MA USA
