Co-op Spring/Summer 2025 - Embedded System Engineer

Position Summary:
Chentronics is in search of an enthusiastic engineering student who has an interest in real-world embedded system engineering design and implementation. Working with a mentor, you will be a part of an engineering design team working in our ignition and flame detection product lines.
What You Will Do
- Assisting in the design and implementation of embedded systems:
- Selection and implementation of embedded target devices and support circuit componentry
- Embedded software development and implementation
- Selection and interfacing of peripherals
- Implementation of standard protocols
- Design and implementing product test equipment
- Working with a diverse group of engineers in all phases of product development and production support including concept, design, test, verify, document, and support
- Preparation of typical electronics documentation (code flowcharts, instructions, code commenting, etc.)
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline
- Sophomore year or greater completed
- Ambitious, self-starting, and motivated attitude; willingness to learn, ability to manage time
What Will Put You Ahead
- Programming experience in C, Python
- Experience choosing embedded platforms to meet
- Good written and verbal communication skill
