POSITION SUMMARY The Production Control Scheduler will assume ownership for the manufacturing execution and performance results for the Norwalk Ohio manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production and Supply Chain to schedule and prepare jobs to meet internal and external demand. This responsibility entails planning future material demand, reviewing ERP system transactions, inventory levels, and coordinating to resolve issues throughout the supply chain to meet and exceed customer expectations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Follow employee guidelines and Quality System regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and or regulations are met. Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance with NMT's Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT's Quality Manual. Establish and coordinate production schedules in a manufacturing environment to ensure the most efficient flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between or within departments. Prioritize and plan production activities to maintain on-time delivery, monitor execution of production orders, and adjust schedules to meet deadlines. Work cross functionally to address equipment downtime, material shortages, and other factory problems. Develop, maintain, and analyze production control reports to drive improvements in production. Coordinate processes for parts that have different procurement needs. Monitor supply base performance as related to delivery and quality, and work with the supply base to resolve issues. Manage inventory levels to avoid excessive inventory, inventory shortages, and inventory inaccuracies within defined guidelines. Analyze actual and potential supply problems or delivery issues and provide timely communications and analysis to management. Abides by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies Regular attendance is required. Other duties as directed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications & Experience 3-5 years of relevant experience Previous experience as a planner or production support in a Manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with customer facing communications, status updates, reporting and change requests required. Education One year certificate from college or technical school. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Successfully uses multitasking skills and can communicate with a variety in individuals both internally and externally. Ability to proficiently use MS Word, MS Excel, MS outlook, MS Power point, MS Access and be able to learn a variety of other programs. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners, and customers. Expert level written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response. Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements This position requires the physical ability to: Frequently remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
