Role Summary:
Executive leader and owner of all key financial cycle processes across planning, analysis, allocations, and internal / external reporting for Corporate, GE Aerospace’s third segment. Operates as trusted advisor to Corporate CFO with “Deputy CFO” mind-set. Drives operational impact and accountability through pragmatic process design, strong relationships, actionable analysis, clear & proactive communication, and strong desire to gain a deep understanding of Corporate operations & cost landscape.
Roles & Responsibilities:
•Provide support, development, and mentorship to direct reports (3) and extended team (12)
•Serve as primary FP&A point of contact for Corporate with support of key stakeholders (HQ Functions, Controllership, Corp Holdings)
•Partner with Corporate Income, Planning, & Reporting Manager to review Group FP&A calendar and design the Corporate financial calendar with distribution and regular communication rhythms to key stakeholders
•Partner with CFO to design and execute annual Long-Range-Forecast (LRF) and budget process
•Serve as process leader for Corporate LRF and budget and provide regular communication and assistance to key stakeholders
•Provide insightful LRF and budget analysis to inform follow-ups and target setting
•Present summary LRF and budget analysis for review with Corporate CFO and Group FP&A
•Partner with Corporate CFO to design rolling Corporate financial model (CY and long-term)
•Review quarterly forecast inputs, prepare insightful analysis & follow-ups, and develop recommended forecast/R&O’s for review with Corporate CFO
•Partner with Controllership on monthly close including tracking of key to-go items and support of process improvement efforts
•Partner with Income, Planning, & Reporting Manager in review of monthly actuals summary & walks (P&L and Management view) for review by Corporate CFO
•Partner with Cash Manager in review of monthly actuals summary & walks (SOCF and Management view) for review with Corporate CFO
•Partner with People Ops Finance Leader and Functional Cost Managers to prepare standard monthly reporting and insightful operational analysis (headcount/purchased services)
•Utilize monthly actuals analysis to identify key actions needed and to inform view of Corporate pacing vs. quarterly forecast and R&O's
•Present monthly Corporate actuals at FRP with Controllership
•Assist Corporate CFO in preparation for review of monthly actuals with Group FP&A
•Review monthly pacing inputs, prepare insightful analysis & follow-ups, and develop recommended forecast/R&O’s for review with Corporate CFO
•Own and execute daily pacing process at quarter-end and recommend revisions to final call / key to-go items for review by Corporate CFO
•Assist Corporate CFO in preparation for daily pacing with Group FP&A at quarter-end
•Review and support Cash Manager with quarter-end cash flow activities for all Corporate activities (CFAs, DRs, preparation of SOCF)
•Partner with Income, Planning, & Reporting Manager and Group FP&A on preparation of non-GAAP reconciliations
•Assist Corporate CFO in preparation for review of quarterly actuals with Group FP&A and Aerospace CFO
•Partner with Corporate CFO to prepare and present quarterly Corporate debrief and team R&R
•Complete transition of allocations process from SMO FP&A Leader and onboard Allocations & Analytics Manager who will support process execution and data/model governance
•Partner with key stakeholders (DT) to obtain key inputs and prepare summary of projected Division allocations for review by Corporate CFO and Group FP&A
•Distribute allocations estimates to Division FP&A teams and provide follow-up support where needed
•Partner with Allocations & Analytics Manager to prepare monthly and YTD over/under analysis for review with Corporate CFO and Group FP&A
•Partner with Allocations & Analytics Manager to prepare full-year over/under analysis for review with Corporate CFO and Group FP&A
•Distribute allocations true-up impacts to Division FP&A teams and provide follow-up support where needed
•Ensure appropriate documentation of assumptions and provide Controllership/Government Accounting audit support
•Identify process improvements and partner with key stakeholders to implement changes
•Partner with Corporate CFO and Group FP&A to design and execute Corporate rolling forecast
•Partner with Corporate CFO on process improvement, standardization, and increased focus on operational analysis
•Partner with Corporate CFO and Productivity Analyst on identification and tracking of Corporate initiatives
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 10 years of finance experience with prior FP&A role experience. • Financial modeling skills
• Leadership experience with senior management interaction
• Demonstrated experience influencing and communicating at all levels, including with Senior Management
• Proven project management and coordination skills
• Experience managing direct reports
• Proficient use of financial systems (e.g. Hyperion, Oracle) and analysis tools including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Desired Characteristics:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Advanced financial analytics/modeling skills
• Prior Corporate FP&A role and process experience
• Analytical - Data driven with ability to simplify complex topics
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
• Leadership experience and ability to motivate teams and work across all functions
• Self-starter/team player
• Strong executor
• Experience with business process redesign and/or LEAN
• Strong oral and written communication skills
The base pay range for this position is $200,000 (low)-$250,000 (mid)-$300,000 (high). The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a
percentage of your base salary. You are also equity-eligible. This posting is expected to close on 3/18/2025.
