Role Profile

Position: Delivery Driver

Job Location: Norwalk, California

Job Type: Full-time

Status: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Role

This primary function of this role is to support the logistical needs of the Branch.

Responsibilities

  • Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures

  • Delivers all branch products to customers.

  • Receives incoming shipments into inventory, posts in online system and places items in warehouse.

  • Ships items to customers and processes internal transfers between branches.

  • Associates is responsible for cleanliness and order of warehouse. Uses a forklift, pallet jack and other tools to accomplish tasks.

Skills and Abilities

  • This position requires mechanical inclination.

  • Must have basic computer skills including, MS Word, Excel, Internet and Email.

  • Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure.

  • Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

  • Other job duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

  • 1-3 years of related warehousing or production experience

  • A high school diploma or GED

  • Reliable transportation is a must

  • Ability to work overtime, as required

  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as required

  • Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs independently on a repeated basis.

  • Ability to consistently move throughout the facility during the full workday

  • Ability to comprehend work instruction and safety procedures, written or verbally

  • Ability to count and measure accurately

  • Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial setting experience

  • Valid TWIC card, a plus

  • B2B Delivery experience desired.

Total Base Pay Range

  • $33,622 – 50,433
