We are currently seeking a Material Management Analyst in our Northridge, CA. Location supporting Advanced Weapons. This position requires the selected candidate to work on-site, full-time (no remote work available), and does not offer relocation assistance.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Research status of material critical to production schedule and expedite into stock

  • Manages chemicals from start to finish, including streamlining process upon delivery, proper labeling, safety paperwork document storage, placement into correct location on production floor, and updating systematically in Excel, Costpoint system and shared file

  • Identifies, red-tags, records, and dispose of expired material

  • Ensures adequate supply of consumable material on hand by monitoring current inventory levels and expiration dates

  • Interfaces with various supply chain and engineering teams (procurement, subcontracts, material program management, production control, quality, mission assurance, etc.) to direct appropriate movement of material

  • Conducts cost and metrics analysis on an as-needed basis

  • Material metrics: tracks and categorizes topics that occur within the programs, in addition to conducting time studies.

  • Creates Status Report for material control organization, including main bulletin board, space for recurring items, and special projects.

  • Collects weekly status from staff and consolidate into main report.

  • Develops or update functional or operational manuals outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with organizational policy.

  • Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, material, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.

  • Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment.

  • Develops requisitions for and manages records of material, components, repair parts and related manuals.

  • Tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities.

  • Documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life cycle of product.

  • Provides logistic assistance to floor personnel daily

  • Determines course of action to maintain proper inventory levels of Ground Support Equipment’s and etc.

  • Reviews production schedule and coordinate logistics support to ensure on time delivery of various equipment to the floor

  • Inventories all locations of program material, update data base on Costpoint.

  • Sorts and sustains all cabinets, racks, shelves and maintain records

  • Facilitates and maintains inventory and rotation of Shelf-Life Material

  • through calibration cycles insuring In CAL equipment is available when required

  • Coordinates transportation of material between various sites and locations

  • Evaluates existing processes and make recommendations on improvements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6 Years with Bachelors; 4 Years with Masters in related field such as supply chain management, material control operations, economics, finance, business, or related field.

  • We will also consider 10 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, material management, or supply chain

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to sort, filter and navigate through data, insert conditional formatting, common formulas to conduct necessary analysis of inventory

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance preferred

  • Knowledge of Cognos, CostPoint, and advanced Excel formulas (index match, offset, indirect, etc.)

Salary Range: $80,600 - $121,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
